With the onset of the fourth month, you have entered the second trimester of your pregnancy. A lot will be settled within you. A little growth of the baby bump will be noticeable by now.

In the fourth month of the pregnancy, the size of the baby is between 4 to 5 inches long. The skin is still translucent. At this time, the reproductive organs of your child are growing quickly and the muscle strength increases drastically. The eyes and ears also start to develop during this month.
Other than this, the weight of the child also increases. The lungs begin to develop but the respiration function does not start. The fingerprints of the baby become unique and the kidney is functioning. Your baby can now move its arms and legs.

- Sleep on the left side of the body now makes, onwards to blood flow easily to the child’s body.
- Maintain hygiene because you are prone to catching the infection.
Diet Tips:
- Include multivitamins and supplements in your diet because your baby needs more nourishment now.
- Eat iron-rich food such as tofu, dark green leafy veggies, eggs, and dry fruits.
- Try to consume fiber-rich foods like oatmeals, salads, green peas, bananas, apples, chia seeds, broccoli, etc.
- You must eat Zinc-rich food that includes spinach, mushrooms, and pumpkin seeds. It is essential for a healthy immune and nervous system.
- Eat fruits, flax seeds, soybeans, carbohydrates rich diet, and dry fruits.
- Avoid eating oily food, maida, cheese, uncooked eggs, excessive tea or coffee, and spicy food.
Exercise Tips:
- Go for regular walks, yoga, or any other workout as per your doctor’s advice to have a safe delivery.
- Ask your doctor about exercises to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles.
